As a Business Product Owner within our Reinsurance practice, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative underwriting technology solutions for our clients.
Working at the intersection of reinsurance business processes, technology, and consulting, you will translate complex business requirements into practical digital solutions and drive the successful implementation of our Reinsurance Workbench.
You will collaborate closely with clients, business stakeholders, product teams, and technology specialists to ensure our solutions create measurable business value and support the digital transformation of the reinsurance industry.

About the job
As a Business Product Owner within our Reinsurance practice, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative underwriting technology solutions for our clients.
Working at the intersection of reinsurance business processes, technology, and consulting, you will translate complex business requirements into practical digital solutions and drive the successful implementation of our Reinsurance Workbench.
You will collaborate closely with clients, business stakeholders, product teams, and technology specialists to ensure our solutions create measurable business value and support the digital transformation of the reinsurance industry.
- Lead the business and functional delivery of Reinsurance Workbench implementations, from initial requirements gathering through go-live and ongoing optimisation
- Translate reinsurance underwriting business needs into functional requirements, process designs, user journeys, and application capabilities
- Act as a key interface between client stakeholders, underwriting experts, business analysts, and technology teams
- Own and prioritise product and project backlogs, balancing client requirements, business value, technical dependencies, and delivery timelines
- Drive functional solution design, ensuring alignment between standard product capabilities and client-specific requirements
- Coordinate business activities throughout the implementation lifecycle, including solution design, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment
- Define acceptance criteria and ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and operational needs
- Support go-live preparation, user adoption, change management, and post-implementation improvements
- Contribute to product roadmap development by identifying opportunities for innovation, standardisation, and reusable solutions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help shape the future of digital reinsurance underwriting solutions
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant professional experience in reinsurance, insurance, consulting, business analysis, or product ownership
- Strong understanding of reinsurance underwriting processes and related business requirements; knowledge of claims or technical accounting is an advantage
- Experience in translating business requirements into functional specifications and technology-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, product backlog management, and software delivery processes
- Experience with insurance or reinsurance technology implementations, digital transformation, or process optimisation is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a structured and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology teams
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership in a dynamic, international consulting environment
- Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK - Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
