Business Reporting Analyst

Job Context: Riseup Labs seeking a highly skilled Data Reporting Analyst with advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of spreadsheet-based data manipulation, strong understanding of DAX and Power Query and a proven ability to generate meaningful insights from complex datasets. Excellent English communication skills are essential for creating clear reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Job Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards using Excel and Google Sheets Use advanced formulas (e.g., INDEX-MATCH, ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, SUMIFS, INDIRECT, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) for complex data analysis Create dynamic models, pivot tables, and data visualizations to support business decisions Perform data cleaning, transformation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency Collaborate with departments to understand reporting needs and deliver customized solutions Communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly in written and spoken English Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot any discrepancies or reporting errors Maintain documentation of data sources, formulas, and processes for transparency and scalability Understanding of data privacy and handling confidential information. Generate detailed and insightful reports for clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any discipline Additional Requirements: Proven experience (2+ years preferred) as a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar role Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (must demonstrate strong use of advanced formulas and tools) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus Fluent in English, both written and verbal Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets efficiently Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Good at presentation and client management skills.
