- Champion security across the business, building strong relationships and promoting shared accountability for managing security risk.
Risk, Governance & Assurance
- Partner with Digital Security Strategy & Risk teams to identify, assess and manage security risks, ensuring they are effectively integrated into WPP’s broader risk management framework.
- Work with Governance and Technology Compliance teams to support adherence to WPP policies, standards, regulatory requirements and technology compliance obligations.
- Support Client Assurance activities, including responding to client security requirements and contributing to security documentation and assurance processes.
- Work with Vendor and Supply Chain teams to help assess and manage third-party security risks and ensure alignment with WPP security standards.
Security Awareness & Culture
- Partner with the Digital Security Awareness team to develop and deliver targeted security awareness initiatives aligned to business needs.
- Promote a strong security culture, driving awareness, engagement and accountability across WPP and its Operating Companies within the region.
Product, AI Security & Investigations
- Collaborate with Digital Security Product & AI Security teams to help embed security into the development and deployment of products and services.
- Support corporate investigations and data or evidence acquisition, ensuring activities are conducted in line with WPP policies and processes.
Incident Response
- Coordinate the business response to security incidents, working closely with Enterprise Technology Cyber Incident Response teams.
- Lead business-level investigations and support the timely reporting, escalation and remediation of security incidents and breaches.
Compliance & Regulatory
- Support compliance with applicable local and international security laws, regulations and standards.
- Provide cybersecurity expertise during business audits, ensuring security-related actions and requirements are appropriately documented and addressed.
Reporting & Performance
- Provide clear and regular updates to senior business and security leadership on security initiatives, risk assessments, incidents and emerging priorities.
- Partner with Technical Security Governance to develop and track KPIs that demonstrate the effectiveness and maturity of the Digital Security programme.
- Significant experience in information security, with a strong understanding of global and regional security standards and regulations, including GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Proven experience across risk management, incident response and the implementation of security policies and standards.
- Experience working within a complex, global organisation and collaborating effectively across international teams, functions and regions.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to connect security priorities to broader business objectives and translate them into practical action.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong cultural awareness and the ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships across diverse teams and geographies.
