Business Support Officer

  • Parramatta or Coffs Harbour, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available
  • Full-time temporary opportunity until 30 June 2027 (35 hours per week)
  • Salary from $87,199 to $95,482 pa. + super and annual leave loading

Your role

We are seeking a Business Support Officer to join our Home Ownership team and provide high-quality administrative and business support that contributes to the delivery of Home Ownership grants and services to Aboriginal communities across NSW.

This is a varied role where you’ll play an important part in supporting our clients, Regional Project Officers and the broader team throughout the grants process. You’ll work with a range of stakeholders helping to ensure grant applications, payments and records are managed accurately and efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Provide day to day administrative support to the Home Ownership team.
  • Prepare and coordinate spreadsheets, reports, correspondence, presentations and other documents accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Manage and process payments accurately, including Home Ownership grants, with an understanding of governance, compliance and confidentiality requirements.
  • Communicate confidently with internal staff, conveyancers, legal and financial contacts, and other stakeholders to support timely and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, business information and data, with strong attention to detail.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments and program activities, including managing enquiries and correspondence.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service, using discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Work collaboratively across teams, coordinate workflows and contribute to improving administrative systems, processes and ways of working.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and information.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing your own responsibilities.
