Role Overview The Business Systems Architect supports the architecture, integration, and development of the company’s core business systems, with a primary focus on ServiceNow, along with ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other enterprise applications. This role ensures systems integrate effectively, workflows are automated, and solutions are scalable and aligned with business needs. This is a 12 month contract. Key Responsibilities 1. Systems Architecture Define architecture and integration standards for core business applications. Establish system ownership, data flows, integration points, and sources of truth. Ensure ServiceNow, ERP, CRM, HRIS, and related platforms work together effectively. Evaluate solutions based on scalability, security, integration, and business requirements. 2. ServiceNow Development & Workflow Automation Configure and develop ServiceNow workflows, forms, integrations, and automation. Support ServiceNow ITSM, CSM, EAM, CMDB, and related capabilities. Translate business and operational processes into standardized workflows. Reduce manual approvals, duplicate entry, handoffs, and offline tracking. Maintain ServiceNow development standards, documentation, and release controls. 3. ERP & Business Systems Delivery Support ERP and other business system implementations, integrations, testing, and data migration. Partner with Finance, HR, Commercial, Operations, and IT teams to define requirements. Support system enhancements, configurations, integrations, and issue resolution. Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners on technical deliverables. Ensure solutions meet business, technical, security, and integration requirements. 4. Governance & User Enablement Establish system governance, access controls, change management, and support processes. Maintain application roadmaps, documentation, and integration inventories. Support user adoption of standardized systems and workflows. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce shadow systems. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise business systems architecture, implementation, and integration. Hands-on experience developing and administering ServiceNow, including workflow automation, integrations, and platform configuration. Experience supporting ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other enterprise systems in complex environments. Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, data architecture, and workflow automation. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions. Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Operations, Commercial, and IT stakeholders. Experience managing third-party vendors, implementation partners, and technical consultants. Strong documentation, governance, and change management experience. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. What Success Looks Like (12-Month Contract) Establishes a clear architecture and integration framework across ServiceNow, ERP, CRM, HRIS, and related business applications. Delivers prioritized ServiceNow workflows and automations that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. Improves data consistency and system alignment by defining ownership, integration points, and sources of truth across business platforms. Successfully supports ERP and enterprise application initiatives, including integrations, testing, and implementation activities. Creates and maintains application documentation, support processes, governance standards, and integration inventories. Identifies and eliminates process inefficiencies, duplicate systems, and manual workarounds. Enables business stakeholders to adopt standardized workflows and leverage system capabilities more effectively. Provides a stable, scalable foundation for future business systems growth and operational maturity. This is a 12 month contract.
