In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Quality control of requisitions
  • Generate purchase orders and purchase order amendments as required
  • Verification of single or sole source documentation per applicable standard and DOA
  • Distribute Purchase Order for approval
  • Works within the Global DOA approval authorities and escalates as required
  • Maintain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system data to ensure accuracy during the entire Procure-to-Pay cycle
  • Issue and expedite supplier acknowledgement in conformance to agreed final Purchase Order
  • Receive acknowledgement and update Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Expedite shipment and materials per project procedures. Monitor supplier delivery commitments and proactively communicate potential risks to project schedules.
  • Inform local office about status of shipment
  • Arrange for receiving and inspection of goods whenever it is required
  • Coordinate with logistics on custom clearance
  • Administer Purchase Order reconciliation
  • Closure of Purchase Order as per standard policy
  • Support overall suppliers’ evaluation in terms of overall procurement performance
  • Support supplier onboarding activities and documentation requirements.
  • Perform regulations and compliance analysis
  • Ensure compliance to Emerson Record Retention Policy at all times
  • Ensure compliance to Emerson’s Ethics Policy at all times
  • Support resolution of invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and supplier payment escalations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Coordinate with planning and project teams to identify material shortages and mitigate supply risks.
  • Provide procurement status updates and reporting to project stakeholders.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Must have a two-year technical or business degree
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally & in writing, with all levels of Management.
  • Passion for operational excellence with a commitment to delighting customer.
  • Ability to work with strong attention to detail in daily tasks, ensuring accuracy in data processing.
  • Capable of analyzing new scenarios and proactively proposing practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated abilities in ERP based systems such as JDE, ORACLE, SAP etc. (Oracle preferred)
  • Conversant in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent professional written and verbal English skills required
  • Dynamic and proactive
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Can work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent sense of urgency
  • Excellent administration skills

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of various supply chain methodologies and best practices.
  • Proven ability to work in a multicultural virtual environment and lead/ coordinate activities for offices located throughout the world.
