Buyer

Role Description The Buyer role at Frigorífico Boi Bravo is a part-time, remote position focused on sourcing and procuring goods and services that meet company standards for cost, quality, and delivery. The Buyer will research suppliers, request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and prepare purchase orders in accordance with established policies. This role includes monitoring order status, coordinating with internal teams on inventory needs, and resolving delivery or quality issues with vendors. The Buyer will maintain accurate purchasing records, update vendor information, and support periodic cost analyses and budget tracking. Collaboration with finance, operations, and logistics teams is essential to ensure reliable supply and adherence to compliance and safety requirements.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, including vendor research, quotation management, and negotiation.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to compare bids, manage budgets, and interpret cost and inventory data.
• Proficiency with productivity and ERP tools (e.g., spreadsheets, purchasing or inventory software) and comfort working in a remote, digital environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines in a part-time schedule.
• Knowledge of basic contract terms, purchasing policies, and compliance or quality standards; experience in food or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
• Relevant education in business, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a buying or procurement role.
