Love organisation, thrive on detail and enjoy building strong relationships? At Pets at Home, we're looking for a proactive Buying Assistant to join our Food Buying team and play a key role in bringing great pet food products to pet parents across the UK.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in Buying, whilst also being perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys administration, process management and working in a fast-paced commercial environment.

The role offers hybrid working (three office days per week) from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting Buyers and Category Planning Managers with a wide range of administrative and trading activities
• Managing new product set-up, promotions, price changes and maintaining accurate product data
• Producing reports, tracking key actions and ensuring critical deadlines are met
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across the business, including Data & Tech teams
• Coordinating samples, store communications and competitor insights
• Helping ensure launches, promotions and trading plans are delivered smoothly and on time

What we're looking for

• A highly organised administrator who enjoys managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines
• Someone highly confident with Microsoft Excel, using it daily to analyse, report and manage information
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
• A strong relationship builder who can collaborate effectively across teams and with suppliers
• The confidence to challenge constructively when needed, ensuring the right outcomes for the business
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with SAP is beneficial but not essential
