C++ Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a C++ Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry.

Requirements

• 7+ years of development and/or testing experience – developing code using C++ and/or Rust
• Experience as a senior developer with design responsibilities
• Experience with Version Control Systems (Git)
• Technical skills including high level understanding of software development, network systems, software test
• Problem investigation and resolution experience in a software environment
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development, or Engineering (desirable, not required if candidate is technically strong, has good attitude, aptitude and communication skills)
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience building IoT solutions for industry – experience building highly scalable and secure IoT solutions using MQTT, REST or similar networking interface technologies
• Embedded Linux x86 / ARM
• Ability to promote a test-driven development approach
• Experience using embedded tools; compilers, debuggers, protocol analysers, RTOS or OSes
  
  

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the UCC software and development of new C++ features
• Testing the software, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Working mainly on development rather than a pure testing role
• Handling work in a Linux-based environment, including understanding compilation/build processes
• Supporting ongoing work around JSON/JSON Schema-related changes and general backend-connected development
