  • Create manufacturing and fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings and system layout drawings.

  • Develop conceptual 3D drawings to support sales quotations.

  • Use AutoCAD MEP and SolidWorks daily to produce accurate technical drawings.

  • Create new drawings from scratch and modify existing drawings to accommodate site requirements and project changes.

Ductwork Design and Technical Documentation

  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with specifications.

  • Manage revisions efficiently and ensure updates are completed within agreed timelines.

  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy across all drawings and documentation.

Learning and Development

  • Continue developing technical knowledge of ductwork design, sizing and airflow calculations.

  • Adapt to additional CAD software and drawing programmes as customer requirements evolve.

  • Use company-provided systems and tools, completing training where necessary.

Essential Requirements

  • Approximately five years of experience producing ductwork drawings.

  • High proficiency in both AutoCAD MEP and SolidWorks.

  • Proven experience producing manufacturing and fabrication drawings.

  • Experience working on construction projects involving mechanical requirements.

  • Working knowledge of ductwork design and sizing.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Strong IT skills and access to suitable equipment capable of running large CAD programmes and handling complex files.

  • Willingness to complete a trial drawing as part of the selection process.

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Strong technical ability, numerical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.

  • Committed to producing precise, high-quality work within deadlines.

  • Adaptable and willing to learn new systems, software and processes.

  • Receptive to feedback and comfortable asking questions when clarification is needed.

  • Reliable, proactive and able to take ownership of assigned work.
