Canadian Tax Associate | Night Shift

We are seeking a detail-oriented Canadian Tax Associate to support tax preparation, compliance, and accounting functions for our growing Canadian client portfolio.

Position Details

• Full-Time
• Night Shift (Canadian Business Hours)
• Remote, with potential hybrid setup (1 day/week) in BGC, Taguig
• Candidates able to commute to BGC, Taguig are preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Canadian tax returns (T1, T2, and T3).
• Assist with tax compliance, filings, and supporting schedules.
• Review client financial records and tax documentation.
• Support year-end engagements and working paper preparation.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax-related requests.
• Research Canadian tax regulations and assist with tax planning.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and tax teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of Canadian tax or public accounting experience.
• Experience preparing T1, T2, and/or T3 returns preferred.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with TaxCycle, CaseWare, QuickBooks Online, TaxPrep, Profile, or similar software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must be based in the Philippines and available for night shift work.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a Canadian CPA or accounting firm.
• Exposure to bookkeeping, financial statements, and year-end engagements.
• Knowledge of GST/HST and payroll filings.
• CPA designation or ongoing CPA studies.
