About the Role Capgemini is expanding its Core Digital Transformation engineering hub in Hyderabad to support a major global infrastructure migration. We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our top-performing global delivery engineering pod. This role is critical to our ongoing digital transformation initiatives and offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly federated, matrixed environment with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and fiscal discipline. Work Arrangement Hybrid model: 3 days onsite (Tuesday through Thursday) for sprint modeling and collaborative design reviews; remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Key Responsibilities Design and implement autonomous backend solutions for large-scale digital transformation projects. Develop and maintain robust, scalable services using Java or Go. Integrate and optimize asynchronous messaging frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Manage and optimize cloud compute run-rate costs, ensuring fiscal discipline and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive consensus and deliver high-impact solutions in a federated, matrixed environment. Participate in sprint modeling, collaborative design reviews, and ongoing architectural improvements. Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of autonomous backend software design experience. Proficient in Java or Go programming languages. Extensive experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks (Kafka or RabbitMQ). Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize cloud compute run-rate costs. Preferred Qualifications Experience building scalable OData REST API connection layers to bridge cloud ecosystems with legacy ERP or HCM frameworks. Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
