We’re on a thrilling journey of growth and innovation, and we need passionate, driven individuals to join us. At Super Group International, every day is action-packed, and we expect you to bring your A-game. In return, you’ll find a supportive environment where your skills can flourish and your career can soar.
Ready to become a game-changer? Supercharge your career with us and be part of something extraordinary.
Why we need you
We’re building experiences that wow our customers – and that starts with bold, curious people who want to do work that matters.
If you’re hungry to grow, excited by impact and ready for a challenge that will supercharge your career, this could be your moment.
As our Capitalisation Analyst, you’ll play a key role in delivering a robust and compliant software capitalisation process, working closely with Finance and Technology teams. You’ll get hands-on with CapEx governance, time-tracking compliance, cost validation, reporting, and stakeholder training. Your drive and ideas will help us improve controls, strengthen compliance, and maximise the value of our software investments.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
CapEx Process Ownership & Monitoring
Own and continuously improve the group's software capitalisation process, ensuring alignment with IAS 38 recognition criteria (identifiability, control, probable future economic benefits, and reliable measurement of cost).
Monitor development team time-logging to ensure hours are accurately and consistently recorded against the correct projects, epics, and work types (CapEx vs OpEx).
Review project and ticket-level data to verify that capitalised time relates to the development phase of qualifying projects, and that research-phase, maintenance, bug-fix, and support activities are correctly expensed.
Perform periodic sample testing and reconciliations between time-tracking data, project management systems, and the general ledger.
Track project lifecycle stages (research vs development, technical feasibility, launch/go-live) to determine when capitalisation should commence and cease, and when amortisation should begin.
Work with finance to ascertain and to document why projects are capitalizable.
Finance Partnership
Work closely with the finance team on month-end and year-end close: preparing or reviewing capitalisation journals, work-in-progress schedules, and useful economic life assessments.
Support impairment reviews and amortisation calculations for capitalised development assets.
Provide analysis and reporting on capitalised development spend by entity, project, and team, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and transfer pricing requirements across group entities.
Act as a key contact for external auditors on software capitalisation, providing documentation, evidencing judgements, and supporting audit walkthroughs of the CapEx process.
Development Team Engagement, Training & Onboarding
Design and deliver training for developers, engineering leads, and project managers on the capitalisation process, time-logging requirements, and the distinction between capitalisable and non-capitalisable activities.
Own the CapEx onboarding module for new developers joining the business, ensuring every new joiner understands how and why to log time correctly from day one.
Produce and maintain clear, accessible guidance materials (process documentation, quick-reference guides, FAQs, decision trees for CapEx/OpEx classification).
Act as the first point of contact for development teams with questions on time-logging, project setup, and classification.
Systems & Data
Work with project management and engineering tooling (Jira / Atlassian suite) to ensure projects, epics, and work types are structured to support accurate CapEx tracking (e.g. labels, components, work-type fields, and dashboards).
Collaborate with HR/finance systems teams (e.g. Workday) to ensure time-tracking, cost-centre, and headcount data flows correctly into capitalisation calculations.
Build and maintain dashboards and exception reports to identify missing, late, or misclassified time entries, and follow up with teams to resolve them.
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline the capture and reporting of capitalisable time.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Maintain the group's capitalisation policy and ensure it is applied consistently across all development entities and locations.
Escalate risks, inconsistencies, or judgement areas to finance leadership with clear recommendations.
Keep abreast of developments in IFRS relevant to intangible assets and software development costs, and assess their impact on the group's process.
This list covers your core responsibilities – with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.
What you’ll bring
You’re someone who brings:
Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideas
A collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross‑functional teams to hit shared goals
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality work
Adaptability – you stay sharp, productive and positive in fast‑moving environments
Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role
Strong understanding of IAS 38 and software development cost capitalisation.
Proven ability to manage CapEx/OpEx classification and developer time-tracking processes.
Skilled at training and influencing non-finance stakeholders through clear, practical communication.
Strong analytical capability with experience in reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
Confident stakeholder management across Finance, Engineering, Project Management, and Audit.
Detail-oriented with a focus on governance, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some the following skills:
In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
