Care Management Supervisor (RN)

Location: Remote (California)

Department: Care Management

Pay Rate: Competitive; based on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Care Management Supervisor (RN) to lead and support a team of Adult Case Management professionals in a remote healthcare environment. This role is responsible for overseeing staff performance, driving operational excellence, ensuring quality member outcomes, and fostering effective collaboration between care teams, providers, members, and community-based organizations. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong Registered Nurse with leadership experience in managed care and a passion for coaching, mentoring, and process improvement. Success in this position requires excellent communication, critical thinking, and the ability to lead a high-performing remote team. Required Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Nursing, Public Health, Community Health, or a related healthcare field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical healthcare experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of managed care experience.
  • Experience with case management, care coordination, utilization review, and healthcare program oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, clinical documentation, and care management best practices.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, electronic health records, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and motivate remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within Medi-Cal managed care programs.
  • Background supervising adult case management teams.
  • Experience implementing process improvement initiatives and quality programs.
  • Knowledge of population health management and community resource coordination.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Adult Case Management staff in a remote environment.
  • Monitor productivity, performance metrics, and quality standards to ensure program success.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, and professional development to team members.
  • Facilitate effective communication between staff, members, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Address employee performance concerns and support resolution of staff-related issues.
  • Review workflows and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and member outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support care management initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and clinical best practices.
  • Support utilization review and care coordination activities as needed.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
