  • Assist students and alumni with resumes, cover letters, job searches, and interview preparation through individual appointments and educational workshops.
  • Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback to help students build confidence and strengthen their interviewing skills.
  • Serve as a strategic career resource for graduates as they transition into employment within their fields of study.
  • Maintain current resources and job opportunities that connect students and graduates with local, regional, and national employers.

Build Employer and Community Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, alumni, community partners, and professional organizations to expand employment and networking opportunities.
  • Develop employment partnerships and opportunities that support students and graduates in achieving their career goals.
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen alumni engagement through mentoring, networking, and career-related activities.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Relations, academic fieldwork coordinators, academic departments, and other campus partners involved in career development.
  • Organize career fairs, employer information sessions, networking events, and virtual career events.

Connect Career Services to Academic Success

  • Collaborate with academic departments to align career development efforts with institutional learning outcomes and student success initiatives.
  • Partner with the institutional accreditation team to ensure career placement information is collected, maintained, and reported accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, employment outcomes, and job placements.
  • Track and analyze employment data, placement outcomes, job market trends, and other information that can inform Career Services strategy.
  • Prepare career placement reports and documentation required for programmatic and institutional accreditation.
  • Prepare reports that communicate Career Services outcomes, trends, and success stories to institutional stakeholders.

Support Federal Work-Study

  • Partner with Financial Aid to oversee the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program in accordance with federal regulations and institutional policies.
  • Coordinate the placement of FWS students in on-campus and off-campus positions and maintain effective communication with supervisors and community partners.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and development opportunities for FWS students to strengthen their skills, job performance, and overall work experience.
