The Carrier Operations Representative will collaborate closely with Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure smooth and timely service for both the company’s customers and carriers. This role supports high-volume sales operations by managing critical shipment information, monitoring carrier communications, and addressing issues proactively. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to grow within the transportation industry. Key Responsibilities: Managed EchoDrive onboarding and carrier setup, ensuring compliance with internal requirements. Performed carrier vetting and verification, maintaining accurate carrier records and documentation. Processed light billing and invoicing tasks, ensuring timely and accurate financial documentation. Assisted with load tendering by assigning shipments to approved carriers (no carrier sourcing or cold calling). Monitored shipment tracking, updated shipment statuses, and resolved in-transit issues to ensure on-time delivery. Communicated with carriers to obtain time-sensitive updates, managed team inboxes, and escalated operational issues when needed. Supported Carrier Sales Representatives by coordinating daily shipment operations and collaborating with internal teams. Maintained accurate documentation, learned proprietary systems, and stayed up to date with freight market and industry trends. Previous experience in operations or logistics coordination on the US market. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software. Relationship Building: Proven ability to build productive internal and external partnerships. Team Player Attitude: Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments. Strong Multitasking Skills: Comfortable handling multiple tasks and using technology efficiently. Industry Knowledge: Willingness to learn about freight markets, carrier types, and transportation trends. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English. Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented and accurate in work. Adaptability: Able to work confidently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
