Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Responsible for finding carriers and developing & maintaining strong relationships with them. Fulfill shipments with the lowest cost and best service carriers. Responsible for rate negotiation with carriers. Ensure operational execution. Communicate performance expectations to carriers for each shipment. Participate in carrier business reviews as needed. Review carrier service performance and identify service improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage import forwarding and customs brokerage activities, ensuring compliance with domestic and international trade regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customs, vendors, and internal stakeholders while delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Analyze operational data and complex issues to identify solutions, improve processes, and support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other business documetns while collaborating effectively within a team enviroment.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, transportation or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 0 - 3 years of truck transporation, truck brokerage, supply chain management, import/export transporation, customer service, negotiations or related experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor, and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
