ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for full-time and part-time Scheduling Officers to join our Scheduling Team for 6 to 12 months. You would be responsible for scheduling our support staff across our services located across Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter region. The responsibilities of the position include:
Being responsible for maintaining rosters and allocating staff to vacant shifts in compliance with the SCHADS award and other relevant legislation.
Ensuring calls to the Scheduling Team are answered in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Working with Client Services to ensure records and documentation is complete, up to date and easily accessible to ensure clients have suitable staff assigned to them.
Being available to work a rotating roster with shifts between the operating hours of 5:00am and 11:00pm, potentially including weekends.
Being available to participate in the on-call rotation between 11:00pm and 5:00am.
Creating and updating schedules on the Scheduling System with shift requests, allocation of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to clients and send confirmations and service descriptions to DSPs.
Responding to internal shift requests from client services within a reasonable timeframe.
Using relevant reports to determine shift requirements several weeks in advance to proactively minimise unfilled shifts.
Ensuring correct information is recorded with data entry into relevant systems.
Maintaining all relevant administration records, systems, reports and general documentation up to date and in accordance with Unisson Disability’s policies and procedures.
Establishing a good rapport with internal stakeholders, including DSPs and TLs, through communication and building professional relationships to allow for successful scheduling and to minimise unfilled shifts.
Partnering with client services leaders to understand the specific needs for staffing.
Attending planning meetings to collaborate and provide recommendations on changes to forecasts/schedules to meet client services and staffing needs. Considers the requirements of the clients and service
Ensuring that scheduling complies with changes to the relevant regulations and awards,
Reducing reliance of agency staff use and over-time,
Ensuring continuity of support for clients,
Mitigating operational and clinical risk when scheduling.

Rostering experience - SCHADS exposure highly desirable.
