Life. Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.
Fleet is a critical category that supports employee experience, operational continuity and sustainability across Smith+Nephew. As Category Manager, Fleet, you'll have the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships and deliver meaningful value across a highly visible area of the business. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll play an important role in driving commercial outcomes while helping the business achieve its operational and sustainability goals.
Working within our Global Indirect Procurement organisation, you'll combine category expertise, commercial thinking and stakeholder collaboration to support business priorities and deliver practical, sustainable results. If you enjoy building strong partnerships, leading sourcing initiatives and influencing positive change, this is an opportunity to grow your procurement career within a global healthcare company.
What will you be doing?
As Category Manager, Fleet, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, leading sourcing activities, managing supplier performance and delivering measurable value across Fleet and other assigned categories.
Partnering with business stakeholders across the organisation, you'll identify opportunities to improve cost, service, risk management and sustainability outcomes. You'll use market insight, supplier expertise and commercial thinking to support informed decision making and help shape sourcing approaches that align with business priorities.
You will lead end to end sourcing activities, supplier negotiations and contract management initiatives, while ensuring suppliers continue to deliver strong performance and service levels. Through effective stakeholder engagement and supplier collaboration, you'll help drive continuous improvement and create sustainable value for the business.
As your experience grows, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your scope, take ownership of additional categories and contribute to wider procurement initiatives across Smith+Nephew.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in this role comes from combining commercial capability with strong relationship building skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. You'll be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities and translating insight into actions that deliver business value.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supplier management or a related commercial environment
- Experience developing category strategies and leading sourcing and negotiation activities
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across a matrix organisation
- The ability to analyse spend, market and supplier data and translate insights into practical business outcomes
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is 159 500,00 zł – 239 250,00 zł annually.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on objective, job related factors including (but not limited to) relevant skills, qualifications, and experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, geographic location, and internal equity considerations. Compensation decisions are made using consistent and gender neutral criteria, in line with applicable pay transparency laws.
