The Central Manufacturing Engineering (CME) Core Team Member – Automation is responsible for driving automation, and smart manufacturing initiatives across multiple production sites. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and implementing automation solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and manufacturing flexibility.

As a member of the global CME Core Team, this position acts as a expert for industrial automation and supports plants throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept development and technology evaluation to commissioning and continuous improvement.

Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in:

  • Automation Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • or a comparable technical discipline

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing engineering.
  • Proven experience in automation project management.
  • Experience working in international manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with large-scale capital investment projects is preferred.

Preferred Technical Skills

Automation & Controls

  • PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley or similar)
  • HMI and SCADA systems
  • Industrial communication networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA)
  • Motion control and servo technology
  • Functional safety systems
