About the Role: We are searching for an exceptional Director of Finance to lead our Finance and Accounting functions, with a unique emphasis on both Web 3 blockchain technology and the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our leadership team, you will serve as the financial strategist, working closely with the CEO, and actively participating in defining our business goals. Your role will involve optimizing capital allocation, scaling financial processes, managing the finance team, and collaborating with department heads to enable data-driven decisions that support our strategic initiatives. What You'll Do: In this influential position, you will: Strategically Guide Accounting Operations: Take the helm in planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of our accounting operations, including teams responsible for M&A, Corporate Development/Strategy, Accounting, Billing, and Financial Operations. Orchestrate Financial Data Management: Manage the meticulous collection and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of our consolidated business results. Champion Financial Statement Integrity: Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial statements, ensuring precision and transparency. Lead Regulatory Compliance: Manage regulatory reporting, which may encompass tax planning and compliance, to ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations. Collaborate with Leadership: Work harmoniously with the management team to craft insightful reports and presentations for the Board and Audit Committees. Provide Strategic Financial Counsel: Offer invaluable, trusted guidance to the management team and Board on financial matters that impact the overall performance of the company. What We're Seeking: Must-Have: Finance Expertise: A solid foundation in finance, bolstered by qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are highly desirable. Startup Experience: A track record of success in startup environments, ideally during Series A or B funding rounds. You are intimately familiar with the dynamic, resource-constrained, and agile nature of startups. Web 3 Blockchain and Renewable Energy Exposure: Demonstrated experience with Web 3 blockchain companies and/or renewable energy initiatives. You possess a deep understanding of blockchain technology's potential and its integration with the renewable energy sector.
