Group COO - Global Procurement (GP) enables Deutsche Bank (DB) to optimize supplier relationships to meet its strategic objectives

  • We partner across the bank to develop and execute strategies to meet our business requirements
  • We apply our understanding of the supply market and specialized procurement capabilities to optimize value created
  • We enable the bank to access suppliers by identifying and mitigating vendor risks
  • We manage the platforms to enable efficient purchasing of goods and services


Within GP, the Procurement Transformation & Remediation (T&R) team underpins and enables the ambitions of GP through partnering and strong alignment across the function to deliver transformation, defining learning & development and unlocking value creation.

They cover Data & Analytics, Product Management, Strategic Procurement Process, Performance & Governance, Strategy & Engagement and Group Vendor Management Office, Third Party Contracting, and Contingent Workforce Management.


The Vice President, Change Governance & Portfolio Management is responsible for establishing and operating the governance framework that enables successful delivery of the organisation's strategic transformation agenda.

The role provides leadership across change governance, portfolio management, strategic planning and project management practices, ensuring that priorities, resources, risks and dependencies are effectively managed and translated into successful business outcomes. The position acts as a key partner to senior leadership, driving execution discipline, transparency and organisational effectiveness across the change portfolio.



Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the Change Governance framework, standards and operating model.
  • Manage governance forums, steering committees and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain oversight of the change portfolio, including priorities, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and resource demand.
  • Drive portfolio planning, prioritisation and investment governance.
  • Support senior leadership through management reporting, strategic reviews, communications and follow-up of key decisions and actions.
  • Own and drive consistent adoption of project, programme and PMO standards and best practices across the organisation.
  • Lead capability-building, coaching, training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Embed strong disciplines across planning, stakeholder management, dependency management, risk management and benefits tracking.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic objectives and transformation roadmaps.
  • Coordinate annual planning, leadership priorities and portfolio reviews.
  • Track execution against strategic goals and drive accountability for delivery.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment across business, operations, technology and control functions.
  • Support organisational effectiveness, communications and change adoption initiatives.
  • Lead governance, PMO and portfolio management resources.
  • Build strong relationships with senior business, technology and control stakeholders.
  • Influence strategic decisions through data-driven insight and governance transparency.
  • Represent the organisation in governance and portfolio oversight forums.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in transformation, governance, PMO or portfolio management leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of managing large, cross-functional change portfolios.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, regulatory and control environments.
  • Strong strategic planning and transformation capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly at senior leadership level.
  • Strong project, programme and portfolio management knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, dependency management and benefits tracking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively across business, operations, technology and control functions.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and capability-building skills.


Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
