As part of the central R&D, you are part of the Chemical Raw Material Development team. Your key task will be: Ensure target orientated steering and consolidation of material portfolio for chemical raw materials based on different requirements (e.g. cost, performance, supply chain stability, sustainability) Find & develop alternative chemical raw materials for current ContiTech product portfolio worldwide Establish key technical partnerships with raw material suppliers & negotiate technical raw material specifications worldwide Ensure operational excellence and support trouble shooting for chemical raw materials Management of projects or task forces in the area of Chemical Raw Material development Evaluation of materials in product related compounds Technical contact for purchasing, supplier dev., quality management and supply chain management as well as suppliers for chemical raw materials topics- Drive strategic topics such as sustainability for raw materials Academic degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar. 3+ years of experience in related field is required. Knowledge and experience in development of rubber, elastomers, composites, or similar materials; including testing and data analysis Experience in rubber, composites, or plastic production processes favorable Strong analytical skills - problem solving, decision making, data classification, examination of correlations, etc. Strong customer-oriented thinking, ownership, and collaboration skills Sense of urgency in completing projects on time and effectively Intercultural fluency – Ability to work with people from different cultures around the world Project management experience desirable Fluent English and Spanish language skills At Continental we are committed to building an inclusive and discrimination-free ecosystem in Mexico, these principles are rooted in our corporate philosophy and culture.
