Position overview As a Chief Accountant , you will take full ownership of the accounting function and build a reliable, scalable foundation for financial operations. This role is responsible for leading the accounting team, establishing strong processes, and ensuring accurate, timely financial data that supports confident business decision-making. You will play a key role in strengthening financial control, improving transparency, and creating audit-ready accounting practices. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on ownership and building structured, high-quality accounting operations that can grow with the business. Your Day to Day Own and manage the full accounting function end to end Lead, support, and develop the accounting team Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting Maintain fully reconciled balance sheets and reliable P&L accuracy Establish and enforce clear accounting processes, controls, and approvals Oversee VAT, statutory compliance, and audit readiness Improve cash flow visibility, inventory accuracy, and accrual processes Identify risks early and ensure issues are resolved before escalation Build scalable accounting operations that support company growth What We Are Looking For Strong experience in accounting with full ownership responsibility Proven experience leading or managing accountants Deep understanding of accounting principles, reporting, and compliance Experience building or improving accounting processes and controls Ability to establish predictable month-end close and reliable financial data Audit experience or strong audit-readiness mindset High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency Strong ownership mentality and confidence in decision-making Clear communicator able to work closely with finance, operations, and leadership Soft skills we value Ownership & Accountability – Takes full responsibility for outcomes Adaptability – Thrives in speed, ambiguity, and change Proactivity – Anticipates opportunities and acts without waiting Common Sense & Prioritisation – Focuses on what drives real profit Solution-Oriented Mindset – Brings tested ideas, not just problems Collaboration & Communication – Works closely across teams with clarity and respect What We Offer Private health insurance after 6 months.
