Chief Accountant

You will be responsible for the following projects:

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee and manage accounting operations in compliance with Lithuanian legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information;

• Prepare financial statements, quarterly and annual reporting packages, and other required financial reports;

• Prepare and submit tax returns, statistical reports, and other statutory filings on time, ensuring accurate tax calculations and compliance with applicable regulations;

• Oversee payroll accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and smooth operations;

Internal Controls & Audit

• Monitor accounting processes and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and legal requirements;

• Coordinate external audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure the timely provision of required information and documentation;

Advisory & Collaboration

• Provide guidance to management on accounting, tax, and financial matters;

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues;

• Support team members in handling complex accounting and tax matters;

Process Improvement

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting systems, including ERP and reporting tools;

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and initiate and implement projects focused on digitalization, automation, and optimization of accounting processes.

We hope that you have:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or in a similar role;

• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), tax regulations, and relevant legislation;

• Ability to independently manage accounting operations, prioritize tasks, and make decisions;

• English language proficiency at B1 level or higher;

• Interest in technology, accounting automation, and modern digital tools;

• Strong analytical thinking, a proactive mindset, and a responsible approach to work;

• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (advantage).

Salary

From 3900 to 4300 €/month gross

Salary depends on your competencies and is negotiable.
