We have ambitious plans to double our size over the next five years through a combination of M&A, organic growth, and operational excellence. We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking CFO to help shape the financial strategy and build a scalable infrastructure required for our next stage of growth.
This is a high-impact opportunity to define the financial strategy, build and lead a high performing finance team while strengthening the systems, structure, and capabilities needed to scale, optimize capital and profitability, and help drive value through both organic growth and M&A to bring our vision to life.
Role Overview
This role will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and define and execute on the financial strategy to drive growth (both organically and via M&A, profitability, and shareholder value. The successful candidate will combine enterprise-level strategic leadership with the willingness to remain close to execution. The CFO will build the capabilities, systems, structure, processes, and finance team required to support Collectivfide’s next stage of growth.
This role will require you to lead the strategic financial decision making to ensure capital use is optimized and profits are maximized as well as performing tactical, hands-on corporate finance activities such as financial modelling, scenario analysis, debt financing, cash management, reporting, mergers & acquisitions due diligence, capital expenditures, and investor relations.
Enterprise Strategy & Value Creation
- Partner with the CEO and Board to define and execute the company's long-term growth strategy.
- Evaluate strategic alternatives including acquisitions, partnerships, capital investments, and new business opportunities.
- Lead enterprise-wide scenario planning and strategic financial analysis.
- Identify and improve the key drivers of shareholder value.
- Provide independent challenge and insight to executive decision-making.
- Assess the current state in relations to strategy alignment, governance and compliance, making recommendations that will enable scalability and long-term success.
- Analyze the company’s cash flow and liquidity position, ensuring optimal cash utilization and availability at all times. Utilize key performance metrics such as IRR, WACC to inform decision making.
M&A and Capital Raise
- Accountable for ensuring acquisitions deliver expected financial and strategic outcomes through post-acquisition performance measurement, value realization tracking, and ongoing portfolio review
- Create and maintain financial models and forecast as well as conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision making and evaluate current and potential investment opportunities.
- Manage and optimize the company’s current and future cash flow, including preparing the company to raise the capital it needs to support its cash requirements and growth plans. This can range from securing loans, pursuing external capital, financial modelling and scenario analysis and M&A activities.
- Prepare investor presentations to facilitate discussions with capital markets participants, investors, and lending vendors.
Financial Performance & Accountability
- Establish and monitor enterprise KPIs linked to growth, EBITDA, cash flow, capital efficiency, and shareholder returns.
- Lead quarterly business performance reviews with executive leadership.
- Drive accountability for financial performance across all operating companies.
- Ensure business leaders understand the financial drivers of their results and are taking action to improve them.
- Monitor and manage the company’s debt portfolio, including debt analysis, issuance, repayment, and refinancing.
- Support the preparation and execution of equity and debt offering, including due diligence, valuation, and pricing.
- Understand the company’s tax requirements and implement optimal tax strategies for the entire group of companies.
- Provide financial expertise, reporting, risk mitigation and recommendations to the Board and investors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure there are scalable financial processes, procedures, controls and solutions in place to support growth plans, drive efficiency and ensure compliance.
Leadership
- Operate as an enterprise executive first and a finance leader second.

- Collaborates across departments to steer corporate change/financial strategy.
- Aligns stakeholders and motivates the team around the company vision.
- Effectively challenge assumptions and influence executive and Board decision-making.
- Balance short-term financial performance with long-term value creation.
- Build capability & leadership bench strength within the finance function to allow the CFO to focus on strategy and growth.
Qualifications
- University degree in accounting, finance, business administration, MBA, CPA designation.
- Minimum 7 years of financial leadership in the insurance industry (preferred), with previous CFO experience, including hands on experience in building the financial strategy and structure to scale a business that balances operational growth and M&A.
- Proven track record in the areas of corporate finance including: investor relations, financial modelling, investment banking or capital markets.
- Previous experience leading a capital raise and dealing with investors and shareholders.
- Prior success working in the private sector with a large subsidiary base, dealing with cash management to fund M&A and generate long-term profits.
- Practical experience in raising equity and debt financing and communication with banks, investors and other financial stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices pertaining to corporate finance planning, analysis and reporting.
- Hands on experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills and be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
