About the Company

Stax Deeptech Talent has been retained by a vertically integrated European clean energy scale-up. The company operates storage systems and renewable generation assets, backed by proprietary technology that is being deployed across European and North American markets with an opportunity to 20x it's revenue numbers in just the next 24 months.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CEO and working alongside the Founders and Board, the CFO will lead the company’s financial strategy and operational scaling across Europe and USA. The company is currently backed by world class top tier Venture Capital investors from Europe and USA.

This role combines hands-on operational leadership across supply chains, B2B assets, and software margins with high-level capital markets strategy—including structuring project finance, raising growth capital, and building public-market corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance Function Leadership: Build and manage international finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance teams structured for multi-jurisdictional growth.
• Capital & Project Financing: Design capital allocation strategies combining corporate equity, debt, and project finance structures to support large-scale energy infrastructure deployments.
• Capital Markets & Governance: Establish IFRS reporting standards, internal controls, corporate governance, and investor relations frameworks required for an IPO.
• Commercial & Operational Finance: Partner with technology, engineering, and commercial teams to manage working capital, optimise margins, and improve financial modelling across trading and grid services.
• M&A Execution: Evaluate and execute targeted acquisitions across European markets to expand grid capabilities and asset footprint.
• Board & Investor Engagement: Maintain clear, transparent reporting to institutional investors, board members, and external advisors.

Candidate Profile:

• Scale-Up Experience: Proven experience as CFO in a technology, energy, or industrial organisation scaling toward €300million+ in revenue.
• Capital Markets & Listing: Direct involvement in preparing for, executing, or managing an IPO or substantial capital markets transaction in Europe.
• Sector Background: Background in CleanTech, Battery Energy Storage Systems, DeepTech, Energy Infrastructure.
• Operational Execution: A pragmatic finance leader with a focus on commercial operations, cost control, and unit economics, not solely high-level oversight.
• Technical Qualifications: Broad knowledge of IFRS, European tax frameworks, project finance, and regulatory compliance.
