Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at EAG Airport will provide strategic and operational leadership for all information technology functions in a part-time capacity. This hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the flexibility to work remotely for a portion of the time. The CIO will oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and systems supporting heliport and airport activities, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with aviation and regulatory standards. Typical responsibilities include defining IT strategy, guiding digital transformation initiatives, aligning technology with business processes, managing vendors and service providers, and establishing policies for data governance and cybersecurity. The CIO will collaborate with senior leadership to plan and implement technology solutions that support EAG Airport’s transition to an ICAO CAT 2B regional airport and ongoing operational needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Information Technology and IT Operations, including infrastructure, networks, and enterprise systems.
• Proven experience in IT Management and IT Strategy, with the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
• Strong background in Business Process analysis and improvement, integrating IT solutions to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Experience in aviation, transportation, or industrial sectors, preferably supporting regulated environments or mission-critical operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, collaborating across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on inclusive and equitable decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP) are advantageous.
