Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mobile, AL, with the flexibility to work from home and for designated tasks. Travel to our Fort Walton Beach, FL location will be required. The COO will oversee daily operations across moving, warehousing, and freight services, ensuring efficient processes, high-quality service delivery, and adherence to safety standards. This role includes leading and developing operations teams, optimizing resource allocation, and coordinating logistics to meet customer expectations and service-level commitments. The COO will collaborate closely with the executive team on business planning, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives, while managing budgets and operational forecasts. Additional responsibilities include refining policies and procedures, implementing best practices, and supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Strong Business Planning and strategic leadership skills to guide growth, set operational goals, and support long-term company objectives.
• Demonstrated Operations Management experience, ideally in logistics, transportation, or warehousing, with a track record of improving efficiency and service quality.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, monitor KPIs, and drive data-informed decisions across departments.
• Solid Finance and Budgeting skills to manage operating budgets, control costs, and contribute to financial planning and performance.
• Proven people leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, partners, and customers.
• Experience in logistics, moving services, or related industries is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

Range: $80,000 - $135,000 (base salary + bonus)
