At Stereoscape, we create browser-based interactive 3D solutions that help industrial and technology companies communicate the value of their products in smarter, more effective ways across sales, marketing and training.

Our solutions combine WebGL, real-time 3D, interactive and immersive technologies, and emerging AI capabilities.

We are looking for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology development, technical production and the next stage of our SmartScape platform. You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the management team.

As our CTO, you'll help great technology show its true value. The role combines deep technical expertise with end-to-end delivery responsibility, production leadership, resource management and commercial accountability. You'll lead our in-house developers and coordinate a network of external technical partners.

• Lead Stereoscape's technology strategy, WebGL development and software architecture.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, technical quality and maintainability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including WebGPU, WebXR, AI and advanced 3D visualization.

• Take overall responsibility for the technical delivery of interactive 3D, VR/AR and related customer projects.
• Manage production planning, technical resources, schedules, budgets and delivery performance.
• Improve project profitability, production efficiency and resource utilisation.
• Lead technical teams and coordinate external development partners.
• Collaborate closely with our independent Creative Strategist, who leads creative direction and visual quality.

• Develop SmartScape into a scalable, modular and increasingly AI-enabled platform.
• Build reusable software components and efficient production pipelines.
• Develop integration capabilities connecting interactive 3D solutions with external product data and enterprise systems.
• Balance customer-specific development with long-term product development.

• Support technical solution design, project estimation and customer presentations.
• Ensure technical decisions support customer value, project profitability and business growth.

Essential qualifications

• Strong experience in WebGL and browser-based interactive 3D development.
• Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with Three.js, Babylon.js, PlayCanvas or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, real-time rendering, 3D production pipelines, APIs and system integrations.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and customer projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, resources and delivery performance.
• A practical, hands-on leadership style and strong commercial awareness.
• Professional proficiency in English. Finnish is an advantage but not required.

Experience we'd especially value

• Game development experience, including Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Industrial visualization, digital twins or interactive product configurators.
• Gaussian Splatting, photogrammetry or advanced 3D reconstruction.
• VR/AR, WebXR and immersive application development.
• Integrations with CPQ, PIM, PLM, ERP or other enterprise systems.
• AI integrations and intelligent interactive applications.
• Experience developing scalable software products or platforms.

Relevant professional experience and demonstrated technical expertise are more important to us than formal qualifications alone.

Flexible remote or hybrid working arrangements within the EU, with regular collaboration across our international team and occasional travel to Finland.
