About the team

Are you passionate about international business, building long-term client relationships, and working at the intersection of European and Asian markets?

ING Wholesale Banking is looking for a China Desk Head for Central & Eastern Europe, based in Warsaw, to lead and accelerate our engagement with Chinese corporate clients across Poland and the broader Central and Eastern European region.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape our CEE franchise, work with senior decision-makers from leading international companies, and contribute directly to the growth of ING Wholesale Banking in one of Europe's most dynamic regions.

Your responsibilities

  • develop and execute ING's strategy for Chinese corporate clients operating or investing in Central Europe
  • build and strengthen senior-level relationships with Chinese corporates across Poland and the CEE region
  • identify new business opportunities and support clients throughout their investment and growth journeys
  • act as a trusted advisor by connecting clients with ING's international network and product expertise
  • cooperate closely with colleagues across Sectors, Lending, Transaction Services, Financial Markets and other product teams
  • drive commercial growth while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, compliance and sustainable business development
  • represent ING within the Asian business community and strengthen the bank's position among Asian investors in the region
  • collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries, cultures and business environments

Our requirements

  • university degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business or a related field
  • more than 5 years of experience in corporate banking or international business development
  • proven track record of managing client relationships and originating new business opportunities
  • strong commercial mindset and ability to execute growth strategies
  • deep understanding of corporate banking products and financial markets
  • experience working with multinational and international corporate clients
  • knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management principles
  • fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese would be a strong advantage
  • ability to work effectively across cultures and international teams
