Role Description The Chinese Manufacturers Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for managing relationships with Chinese manufacturers, including sourcing partners, negotiating terms, and overseeing production and delivery schedules to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating communications between internal teams and manufacturers, monitoring supplier performance, resolving logistics or quality issues, and maintaining accurate records of contracts and orders. The role also involves analyzing supplier data, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk, and supporting strategic decisions related to vendor selection and supply-chain optimization. The manager will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to align manufacturer activities with Transform Talent’s business goals and service standards.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier or vendor management, ideally with Chinese manufacturers, including relationship building, contract negotiation, and performance oversight.
  • Strong skills in supply-chain coordination and logistics, with the ability to manage timelines, inventory, and delivery processes across international borders.
  • Proficiency in cross-cultural communication and business etiquette, with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners in China and internal stakeholders in the UK.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience using data to assess supplier performance, mitigate risk, and drive process improvements.
  • Fluency or strong working proficiency in English; Mandarin or other Chinese language skills are a significant advantage.
  • Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, self-management, and using digital tools for remote collaboration and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Background in professional services, consulting, or a leadership development environment is beneficial.
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and a commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive business practices.
