CISO Domain Lead BC/DR

Challenge |

As an external Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) Domain Lead, provide governance and strategic oversight to keep resilience plans realistic, validated, technically feasible, and aligned with business priorities.

• DR Strategy Governance

  • Define DR strategy and standards. o Ensure realistic RTO/RPO requirements are reflected in architecture.

  • Advise on multi-site recovery, failover, and dependencies.

  • Assess costs and benefits of design options, including site distance and replication.

• BC Governance

  • Maintain BC principles and templates.

  • Align Ypto BC with SNCB needs and contractual obligations.

  • Identify capability gaps and systemic weaknesses.

• Oversight & Reporting o Review DR test results and track remediation.

  • Maintain dashboards, KRIs, and resilience heatmaps.

  • Monitor multi-site DR architecture.

• Expert Support o Advise on complex recovery scenarios and hybrid cloud/on-prem DR. o Guide dependency mapping and architectural alignment.

• Stakeholder Coaching

  • Coach teams on DR/BC responsibilities and plan improvement

  • Produce clear documentation and best practices.

  • Promote resilience

• Maturity Improvement

  • Assess DR/BC maturity using recognized models, such as ISO 22301.

  • Set and deliver a continuous improvement roadmap.

  • Define metrics and benchmarks.

  • Recommand automation, tools, and governance improvements.

Casting |

• Minimum Master's Degree or Equivalent through Experience

• Trilingual (EN/FR/NL): You communicate fluently in English, French and Dutch (spoken and written), all three at least level C1, of which either French or Dutch is your native language at level C2

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in IT Resilience, or DR, or Business Continuity

• Minimum 15+ years in IT
