Civil Designer

We are looking for a Civil Engineer/Civil Designer who will be in charge of designing complex civil engineering projects for land development and public works projects utilizing CAD programs and design software. IMPORTANT: ENGLISH AND A PORTFOLIO ARE MANDATORY FOR THIS POSITION. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and oversee civil engineering projects related to land development, public works, site infrastructure, and utility design . Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and other design software to create detailed engineering plans, models, and construction documents. Conduct and oversee land surveys , ensuring accurate data collection for site development and public infrastructure projects. Prepare grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Review and analyze survey reports, maps, and legal land descriptions. Provide technical guidance and recommendations on design feasibility and cost-effective solutions. Performs design for site grading (earthwork), access road, stormwater design, hydraulic and hydrology calculations, detention ponds, erosion and sedimentation control, infrastructure design, parking lots, etc. Interprets “as-built” and redline information and makes appropriate revisions to plans. Desirable Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and other civil engineering design software . Experience with land development, public works, grading, and utility design . Knowledge of Grading Plans (MUST) Knowledge of Drainage Plans and calculations (MUST) Knowledge of Storm Utility plans and calculations (MUST) Knowledge of Utility plans and calculations for Water. (Knowledge in drawings is a MUST) Knowledge of Utility plans and calculations for the Sewer. (Knowledge in drawings is a MUST) Strong understanding of zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting processes. Ability to interpret topographic and boundary surveys for project planning and design. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
