Civil Engineer

Location: Preferred Northwest of England and Yorkshire. Remote working with frequent office and client sites visits. Contract Type: Permanent, full time. What this role requires: A general understanding of water and sewage treatment processes and the associated equipment/system requirements. Experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS). Knowledge of industry standard drainage networks design. Competence in the use of AutoCAD Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget. First class written and oral communication skills. A natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for our clients. Experience of team working on multi-disciplinary projects. Sound commercial understanding. Team builder, developing the technical excellence of our team. Able to develop and motivate others. Proven record of developing client relationships. Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required. Responsibilities: Develop concepts & detailed designs for the water industry. Management of workload, delivering projects to time and to budget. Maintain high levels of awareness of the implementation of changes in legislation. Identify business development opportunities. Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities. Co-ordination with multidisciplinary teams working on the projects and site team. Client and stakeholder interface. Desirable Skills/Attributes Hydraulic modelling – preferably Causeway Flow or Microdrainage. Competence in the use of Civil3D.
