We underwrite, administer and handle claims on behalf of our carriers, so the quality of our insurance operation is our product.

🧭 What You’ll Do

You handle claims for our embedded insurance programmes, including gadgets, electronics, bicycles, furniture and more. You report to the Claims Lead. You carry your own claims file, make decisions within your authority, and grow into more complex claims as you learn. You'll work with AI tools every day. Not as a side project, but as the normal way we handle claims.

Your core responsibilities:

• Handle claims from first notification to settlement or declinature, within your authority.

• Review documentation and assess claims against the policy conditions, using AI tools to read, summarise and check files faster.

• Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, in writing and by phone, so they always know where their claim stands and why.

• Know how you can apply, integrate and work responsibly with AI in your daily work

• Arrange repairs, replacements and payouts with our vendors and partners.

• Keep claim records accurate and complete, including reserves and payments.

• Spot signs of fraud or irregularities and escalate them.

• Flag where the process, templates, AI workflows or policy conditions cause unnecessary work or confusion, and help fix them.

🎯 About You

Must-haves:

• 0–3 years of experience in claims handling, or in insurance customer service with regular claims contact

• Bachelor or higher qualification

• A basic understanding of how non-life insurance and claims work, and the drive to learn the rest quickly.

• Clear, friendly and precise communication, both written and spoken.

• Structured and accurate, comfortable handling many files at once.

• Comfortable using AI tools and modern software in your daily work.

• Fluent English, plus Dutch or German at native or near-native level.

• Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.

Nice-to-haves:

• Both Dutch and German.

• Wft Basis / Wft Schadeverzekeringen Particulier, or a German equivalent (e.g. Kaufmann/-frau für Versicherungen und Finanzen).

• Experience with gadget, electronics, bicycle, furniture or travel claims.

• Experience using AI tools in a work setting.

• Startup or scale-up experience.
