HVAC Design · Technical Proposals · Project Delivery
Nordic Clean Tech Oy | Helsinki, Finland | Permanent, full-time | Hybrid
Would you like to turn customer requirements into practical cleanroom solutions, and then help bring them to life?
At Nordic Clean Tech, your work won't stop at the drawing. You'll help shape the solution, understand its cost, coordinate procurement and support delivery.
We're looking for an HVAC or building services professional who enjoys working with customers and connecting design, technology and practical delivery.
Designing a cleanroom is only the beginning. A successful project also needs well-coordinated delivery, verified performance and people who are ready to operate it.
Nordic Clean Tech brings together three essential elements:
- Cleanroom design & construction
- Project delivery & verified performance
- Training & competence development
We combine design, construction, qualification and testing in one coordinated process, supported by digital tools and practical training.
Our multidisciplinary team brings together engineering, commercial understanding and hands-on delivery. We work in demanding sectors, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, semiconductors, photonics, quantum technology and NewSpace.
You'll work closely with the whole NCT team. You will:
- Work with customers and our sales team to turn requirements into practical solutions, technical proposals and cost estimates.
- Create and update CAD drawings, HVAC layouts and technical documentation.
- Compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, prepare purchases and coordinate deliveries.
- Support projects through customer meetings, site visits and follow-up, keeping design, purchasing and delivery aligned.
- Work with specialist partners on monitoring and control solutions where needed.
- Help improve our supplier network, templates and ways of working, and bring your own ideas.
This is a hands-on engineering role without line management responsibilities. You'll be responsible for your own tasks and projects, with experienced colleagues alongside you.
We use CAD, digital models and AI-supported software to make engineering and project work more effective.
We'll support you in using these tools to review project information, prepare documents, compare quotations and simplify everyday tasks. You don't need to be an AI specialist. Curiosity and a willingness to try better ways of working are enough.
We'll provide the software you need for the role, and agree with you how outputs are checked and customer information is kept secure.
- A degree in HVAC or building services engineering, or another relevant technical qualification with practical experience.
- Hands-on CAD skills: you can produce and amend drawings on your own.
- Practical HVAC design experience and an understanding of how technical solutions are built and installed.
- Experience of, or interest in, estimating, procurement, technical proposals and project coordination.
- Enjoyment in discussing solutions with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- An organised, collaborative way of working, and the confidence to ask when something needs clarifying.
- Good communication skills in Finnish and English.
Experience with cleanrooms or other controlled environments, such as laboratories, hospitals or demanding production facilities, is an advantage but not essential.
BIM/IFC experience and knowledge of ventilation calculations, filtration, pressure control or monitoring systems would also be useful. Familiarity with ISO 14644 or GMP is welcome.
You don't need to know everything on day one. A practical engineering foundation, care in your work and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
- A permanent, full-time role based in Helsinki, with hybrid working.
- A structured, step-by-step induction involving the whole NCT team and built around real projects.
- Support for your professional development, through learning with colleagues and relevant external training.
- Opportunities to attend industry exhibitions and professional events.
- Room to influence our technical solutions, partnerships and digital ways of working.
- The chance to grow towards specialist or project management responsibilities, depending on your strengths and interests.
