Show job description

Blue & Co., LLC is a leading regional CPA and advisory firm with over 600 professionals across 17 offices in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas.

We are seeking a Client Data Manager to own the strategy, optimization, and day-to-day execution of Blue & Co.'s client data across our client data platforms, including HubSpot CRM, HubSpot Marketing Automation, and HubSync. This role serves as the firm's primary HubSpot and HubSync administrator, driving reporting visibility, campaign execution, user adoption, CSAT programs, and continuous platform enhancement in support of the marketing, business development, and client service teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys identifying challenges, improving processes, and finding creative ways to help teams use technology more effectively.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role. The Client Data Manager not only shapes platform strategy but personally builds and executes it within our client data platforms, helping the firm leverage data, automation, and reporting to drive growth, operational efficiency, and user adoption across offices.

This position is open to qualified candidates anywhere within the United States and may require up to 40% travel to ensure user adoption and training milestones are met.

Essential Functions

1. Automation and Integrations Support (40%)

  • Assist the marketing and client-facing teams with building and deploying marketing campaigns within HubSpot, including emails, landing pages, forms, lists, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to translate strategy into executable automation programs.
  • Own the HubSync integration and shared data service by monitoring sync health, resolving field mapping and data conflicts, and maintaining data integrity between HubSpot and HubSync to support automation and firmwide workflows.
  • Develop lead nurturing workflows, segmentation strategies, business development pipelines and metrics, CSAT surveys and impact reports, and key firm client data reporting.
  • QA, test, and optimize automation to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Continuously refine workflows based on performance data and user feedback.

2. Reporting and Dashboards (30%)

  • Design, build, and maintain executive-level dashboards and operational reports.
  • Develop reporting that connects marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, engagement metrics, and ticket performance.
  • Create visibility into campaign performance, service line growth, geographic initiatives, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with firm leadership to provide insights that inform strategic and resource allocation decisions.

3. CRM Strategy and Platform (20%)

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for HubSpot CRM and Marketing Hub.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to data structure, automation, lifecycle stages, lead routing, and system governance in collaboration with the firm's data systems team.
  • Maintain current system architecture and propose opportunities for consolidation or system performance improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and optimize HubSpot as a firmwide business tool, including through beta testing opportunities.

4. User Training, Adoption, and Operational Management (10%)

  • Conduct in-person training sessions across Blue & Co. office locations, supplemented by virtual sessions, to drive stronger adoption and engagement.
  • Maintain training materials, documentation, and user guides tailored to different roles.
  • Provide onboarding support for new users and ongoing refresher training for existing teams.
  • Monitor adoption metrics and implement strategies to improve utilization.
  • Manage second-tier support for the firm's CRM ticketing system in FreshWorks, ensuring timely routing, tracking, and resolution of requests.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience managing HubSpot CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Demonstrated experience building reports, dashboards, workflows, campaigns, and automation directly within HubSpot, not just overseeing execution.
  • Experience managing ticketing systems and operational workflows.
  • Proven experience training users and driving adoption of CRM or marketing automation software.
  • Strong understanding of CRM architecture, data management, and lifecycle strategy.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable CRM solutions.
  • Experience conducting CSAT surveys to understand client service levels and the voice of the client on new and existing services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present performance data.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% to Blue & Co. office locations to conduct in-person training and support adoption initiatives.

Preferred qualifications (candidates with the following will receive priority consideration):

  • HubSpot certifications in Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and Service Hub.
  • Additional HubSpot certifications are also preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of HubSync or similar CRM integration platform experience.
  • Professional services industry experience (accounting, consulting, legal, or similar).
  • Experience integrating HubSpot with other business systems.
  • Background in marketing operations or revenue operations.
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and KPI development.

If you are a detail-oriented, client-focused, and execution-driven HubSpot professional who enjoys building campaigns, creating powerful reporting dashboards, and leading the user training that drives adoption, we encourage you to apply for the Client Data Manager position at Blue & Co., LLC. We look forward to reviewing your application and exploring how you can help elevate our CRM platform as a firmwide business tool.
