Role: Client Development Specialist

Priority Location: South Africa / Latin America

Working Hours: 9AM - 6PM (Mon, Tues, Wed, Friday & Saturday) CST

Salary Range: $1500 - $1800 USD per month, with OTE (The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

About The Role

The purpose of this role is to generate new business opportunities by effectively communicating the value of our services and scheduling meetings with interested prospects.

Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients from provided lead lists or databases
  • Engage in professional and persuasive conversations to encourage set and kept appointments
  • Clearly communicate the features, benefits and value proposition of our services to prospects
  • Schedule appointments for the lead advisors based on availability and prospect preferences
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions, appointments scheduled, and follow-up activities in CRM software
  • Follow established processes and procedures for all lead channels and outbound efforts
  • Continuously update knowledge about industry trends, competitors’ offerings, and market conditions relevant to our products/services
  • Meet or exceed daily/weekly targets for appointment setting activity

Experience & Traits For Successful Candidate

  • Proven experience as an appointment setter or in a similar role (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a confident phone presence
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone
  • Ability to effectively handle objections or rejections while maintaining professionalism
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills including experience working with CRM software or similar tools
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player

Compliance, Scope of Services & Regulatory Requirements

Scope of Services - Appointment Setting Only

This role is strictly limited to appointment setting activities. The Client Development Specialist is authorized solely to contact prospective clients for the purpose of introducing the firm and scheduling 15-Minute Strategy appointments for the lead advisor.

Under No Circumstances May The Client Development Specialist

  • Provide investment advice
  • Offer financial planning recommendations
  • Discuss specific investment products, strategies, or performance
  • Make representations regarding suitability of investments
  • Interpret financial information for clients
  • Hold themselves out as a financial advisor, investment adviser representative, or licensed professional

Any questions related to investments, financial planning, or advisory services must be referred directly to a licensed advisor.

Script Adherence & Compliance Approval

The Client Development Specialist must strictly adhere to firm-approved call scripts and

communication templates.

  • All scripts must receive prior compliance approval.
  • No deviations, modifications, or improvisations are permitted without written approval from compliance.
  • Any proposed changes to scripts or messaging must be submitted for review before use.

Confidentiality & Regulation S-P Compliance

The Client Development Specialist is required to maintain strict confidentiality of all client and prospective client information in accordance with Regulation S-P, firm privacy policies, and all applicable federal and state laws.

  • Safeguard all nonpublic personal information (NPI)
  • Use secure systems and approved devices only
  • Follow firm cybersecurity protocols
  • Immediately report any suspected or confirmed data security incidents

Breach Notification Requirements

The Client Development Specialist must notify the company immediately, and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of any actual or potential data security incident.

Examples Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Lost or stolen laptop or device
  • Unauthorized access to firm systems
  • Malware or ransomware incidents
  • Suspicious login attempts
  • Accidental disclosure of client information

Required Annual Training

The Client Development Specialist is required to complete all mandatory firm training, including but not limited to:

  • Cybersecurity Awareness Training
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
  • Vulnerable Adults / Elder Abuse Awareness
  • Data Privacy & Information Security
  • Any additional compliance training required of firm personnel

Completion of training is mandatory and a condition of continued employment.
