Location: This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast, in North Carolina. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 50 percent for client meetings and business need

Role Summary:

The Client Partner for Life and Annuity owns the executive client relationship, account growth strategy, financial performance, and delivery alignment for assigned insurance clients. This leader combines deep Life and Annuity industry knowledge with consultative selling, commercial judgment, and disciplined account management to expand existing relationships and create new business across technology, operations, and transformation services.

The role is accountable for developing trusted relationships with senior client executives, shaping solutions around measurable business outcomes, leading complex pursuits from qualification through contract, and ensuring that delivery performance supports long term growth. The successful candidate understands the full policyholder and distribution lifecycle and can connect client priorities to capabilities spanning digital, data, artificial intelligence, cloud, applications, infrastructure, and business process services.

They translate industry knowledge into relevant client conversations, mobilize the right teams around opportunities, and remain engaged through delivery to ensure that commitments become measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities


Client Leadership and Account Growth

  • Serve as the senior relationship owner for assigned Life and Annuity clients and build trusted partnerships with chief executive, operations, information, technology, digital, and business leaders.
  • Develop and execute account plans that define client priorities, relationship coverage, competitive position, opportunity strategy, revenue goals, and actions required to grow the portfolio.
  • Identify whitespace within existing accounts and originate new opportunities by connecting business challenges to differentiated technology and operations solutions.
  • Create executive level points of view on market trends, customer experience, distribution, product modernization, operational efficiency, regulatory change, and emerging technology.
  • Maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline and provide accurate revenue, bookings, margin, and opportunity forecasts.

Sales and Deal Leadership

  • Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and qualification through solution shaping, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, contracting, and close.
  • Direct complex requests for proposal and strategic pursuits involving multiple service lines, global delivery teams, alliance partners, and client stakeholders.
  • Shape multiyear transformation, managed services, platform, and business process engagements across Life Insurance and Annuities.
  • Partner with solution, delivery, finance, legal, and commercial teams to build compelling business cases, operating models, pricing structures, and transition approaches.
  • Negotiate commercial terms that balance client value, delivery feasibility, risk, revenue growth, and target profitability.

Industry and Solution Leadership

  • Apply deep knowledge of individual and group life products, fixed and variable annuities, policy administration, new business and underwriting, billing, claims, distribution, commissions, customer service, and reinsurance.
  • Advise clients on modernization of legacy platforms, digital engagement, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud adoption, application management, infrastructure, and business process transformation.
  • Understand insurance operating models and the use of third party administration, business process outsourcing, software as a service, and platform enabled services.
  • Represent the organization in client forums, industry events, and executive briefings while strengthening market credibility and strategic partnerships.

Financial and Delivery Accountability

  • Own revenue, bookings, margin, pipeline, and account profitability for the assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor contractual commitments, service performance, financial results, client satisfaction, and delivery risk in partnership with global delivery leaders.
  • Lead governance with client and internal executives, resolve escalated issues, and protect long term relationship value.
  • Drive renewal, extension, and expansion strategies well in advance of contract milestones.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams across sales, consulting, engineering, operations, solutioning, delivery, alliances, and marketing.

Measures of Success

  • Achievement of annual bookings, revenue, margin, and pipeline targets.
  • Growth of strategic accounts through new logos, new buying centers, cross selling, and expanded scope.
  • Quality and predictability of qualified pipeline and forecasts.
  • Successful closure and implementation of complex, multiyear engagements.
  • Strong executive relationships, client satisfaction, retention, and referenceability.
  • Effective management of commercial, contractual, delivery, and operational risk.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Eight or more years of progressive experience in insurance consulting, technology services, business process services, account management, sales, or client leadership.
  • Substantial experience within Life Insurance and Annuities, including a working understanding of products, processes, platforms, distribution models, and industry economics.
  • Demonstrated success growing complex insurance accounts and closing significant technology, managed services, transformation, platform, or business process engagements.
  • Experience owning account financials or a profit and loss portfolio, including revenue, margin, forecasting, and commercial performance.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence with senior client executives and diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Strong pursuit leadership, solution shaping, presentation, negotiation, and contract management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead global, matrixed teams without relying on direct reporting relationships.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.

Quota and Sales Expectations

  • The successful candidate will be expected to carry an annual sales target currently anticipated at approximately $25+ million in total contract value.
  • Candidates should demonstrate prior ownership of a substantial enterprise sales quota, consistent attainment, self-generated pipeline, and experience originating and closing large, complex technology services opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Life and Annuity policy administration platforms, insurance software products, or platform enabled service models.
  • Experience selling or leading application modernization, cloud, data, artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, infrastructure, or business process transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of third-party administration, outsourcing, reinsurance, and insurance operations.
  • Relevant insurance, technology, sales, or program management credentials.
  • Established relationships within the North American Life and Annuity market.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $157,600 - $236,400.
