What We Are Looking For Ceres is hiring a Client Services Representative to support client relationships, business development, and emergency response efforts across the Mid-America and West Coast regions. This is a highly customer-facing position for an energetic, engaging individual who enjoys building relationships, communicating with clients, and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be based at one of Ceres’ corporate headquarters in Sarasota, FL or Houston, TX. Remote candidates may also be considered, provided they are able to travel up to 75% of the time and deploy on short notice for storms, hurricanes, natural disasters, and other emergency activations. This position will begin with approximately three months of direct shadowing and training alongside a Client Services Manager to develop knowledge of Ceres’ services, emergency response operations, government contracting, client relationships, and business development processes. Over time, the Client Services Representative will take on greater responsibility for supporting existing clients, identifying opportunities, assisting with sales efforts, and providing client support before, during, and after emergency events. Within the first 12 months, success will be demonstrated through a strong understanding of Ceres’ services, effective client engagement, productive client relationships, proficiency with CRM and internal systems, and the ability to independently support client and emergency response activities. What You Will Do Build and maintain positive relationships with government, municipal, commercial, and strategic partner organizations within assigned markets and regions. Support Client Services Managers and business development teams in identifying, pursuing, and developing new contract and business opportunities. Conduct client-facing sales and relationship-building activities, including in-person meetings, site visits, outreach, and direct customer engagement. Participate in meetings and presentations with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs and communicate Ceres’ emergency response and environmental services. Learn Ceres’ emergency response, disaster recovery, debris management, and environmental service capabilities through training, field experience, and direct mentorship. Support the pursuit of federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts by gathering information, researching opportunities, and coordinating with internal teams. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activity, opportunities, and follow-up activities within the company’s CRM system. Work with operations, project management, estimating, proposal, and other internal teams to gather information and support proposals, qualifications, and contract opportunities. Provide client and operational support during emergency activations, including travel and deployment to disaster-affected areas when needed. Travel throughout the assigned territory and deploy on short notice during hurricanes, storms, natural disasters, and other emergency events to support clients and Ceres operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, highly preferred. Business Administration, Sales, Construction, or a related field may also be considered. 0-3 years of relevant experience in emergency response and/or government client relations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders. Previous experience working with government contracts, public-sector clients, or government procurement processes. Knowledge of contract administration, contract management, or government contracting requirements.
