This is a contractor-based clinical training opportunity for someone who understands digital dentistry, has hands-on intraoral scanner experience, and enjoys teaching others how to use dental technology effectively.

The ideal candidate combines practical dental workflow knowledge with strong communication, presentation, and training skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Scan preparation

  • Scan acquisition

  • Scan review

  • Correcting missing scan areas

  • Digital impression workflow

  • Laboratory case transfer

Support Dental Workflows

Explain how intraoral scanning fits into everyday dental workflows and help users understand the proper sequence for completing and reviewing a digital case.

Troubleshoot Common User Issues

Help learners understand common scanner workflow problems, including lost scan tracking, incomplete scan areas, and basic user-level workflow issues.

Escalate advanced clinical or technical questions when appropriate.

Check Learner Understanding

Answer questions, review workflow steps, and confirm that learners understand how to perform the required tasks after training.

Document Training Activity

Maintain accurate records of completed training sessions, learner participation, questions requiring follow-up, and other required training documentation.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with real hands-on intraoral scanning experience who can clearly explain dental workflows and teach others in a professional virtual environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience using an intraoral scanner in an actual dental environment.

  • Understanding of digital dental workflows from scanning through laboratory case transfer.

  • Experience training, teaching, coaching, onboarding, or demonstrating equipment to others.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and teaching skills.

  • Ability to conduct live virtual training using video, audio, screen sharing, and reliable internet.

  • Ability to demonstrate equipment and software clearly on camera when required.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with Quest International and training participants.

A college degree or dentist title is not required. Qualified dental assistants, hygienists, clinical educators, and other dental professionals with relevant hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

Direct experience with one or more of the following is especially valuable:

  • SHINING 3D

  • Aoralscan

  • IntraoralScan

  • iTero

  • 3Shape TRIOS

  • Medit

  • CEREC

Direct SHINING 3D / Aoralscan experience is preferred.

Candidates with strong experience using other major intraoral scanning platforms may also be considered and may be required to complete product orientation before independently delivering training.

What Success Looks Like

Successful Dental IOS Trainers are able to:

  • Explain dental scanning workflows clearly and professionally.

  • Demonstrate intraoral scanner equipment and software.

  • Keep learners engaged during virtual instruction.

  • Identify and explain common scanning workflow issues.

  • Check learner understanding throughout each session.

  • Stay within the approved clinical and technical training scope.

  • Escalate questions appropriately when additional support is required.

  • Maintain professional and accurate training documentation.

Work Environment

This is primarily a remote, live virtual training assignment.

Candidates must have a professional virtual-training setup with reliable internet, audio, video, and screen-sharing capability.

Selected contractors may be required to complete a contractor agreement, Statement of Work, W-9 documentation, assignment-specific onboarding, product orientation, and technical-readiness review before beginning work.

Training volume, class length, frequency, preparation requirements, start dates, and other assignment terms will be confirmed before work begins.

No specific number of hours, training sessions, or assignments is guaranteed.

Contractor rates will be determined based on experience, qualifications, training responsibilities, preparation requirements, and agreed assignment terms.

Candidates should be prepared to discuss their:
