Job Description
This is a remote position.
As a Clinical Data Reviewer, you will be joining the world's largest and most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence. You bring the clinical and scientific judgment, and we'll teach you how it applies to clinical trials.
What you will be doing:
- Review clinical and laboratory data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, and identify discrepancies that need clarification from study sites
- Apply your clinical, laboratory, or patient-care knowledge to spot results that don't make sense, such as out-of-range labs, implausible vital signs, or inconsistent dates, dosing, or procedure records
- Write and issue data queries to sites using provided guidelines and templates
- Cross-check data across sources such as lab results, concomitant medications, adverse events, and medical history
- Review medical coding with guidance from senior reviewers
- Flag data quality trends, protocol compliance issues, and training needs to the team
- Support audit readiness by following SOPs and maintaining accurate documentation
- Take part in meetings such as Protocol Deviation review, Data Review and Quality Team (DRQT), and Safety Monitoring Team (SMT) review, with mentorship as you build confidence
- Assist with listings, trackers, and slides for data review meetings
Requirements
You are:
- Educated to Associate or Bachelor's level, or hold a diploma or certificate with relevant hands-on experience, in a life sciences, laboratory, or allied health field such as biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, public health, medical laboratory science, phlebotomy, nursing, medical assisting, dental assisting, radiography, respiratory therapy, physical or occupational therapy, pharmacy technology, paramedicine, or dietetics
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical, laboratory, dental, or healthcare setting, including internships, clinical placements, or externships
- Comfortable reading and interpreting patient data such as vital signs, lab values, medication and allergy lists, treatment or procedure notes, or charts
- Familiar with medical terminology and accurate documentation practices
- A clear communicator in written and spoken English, with strong attention to detail
- Organized, able to track multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Excel and Office tools
- Curious and eager to learn, with training provided in clinical trial processes, clinical database navigation, query writing, and medical coding
Nice to have:
- Relevant certification or licensure
- Experience with EHR/EMR, practice management, or LIMS systems
- Interest in oncology or other specialty areas
