Clinical Doctor (IMC) Join ZAVA, part of Hims & Hers Health, Inc., one of the fastest-growing digital health companies in the world, and help transform the way patients access healthcare! About ZAVA We believe healthcare should be accessible, dependable and affordable for everyone. Now part of Hims & Hers Health, Inc., one of the fastest-growing digital health companies in the world, we’re entering an exciting new chapter as we expand our reach and accelerate our impact. Our team of Doctors, Engineers, Patient Care Advisors, Pharmacists, Marketers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Commercial, and Operations Specialists work together to build digital healthcare that truly fits around our patients’ lives. The pandemic changed how people access care, and we’ve led the way by providing over 14 million consultations across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Ireland. More patients than ever turn to us for help with weight loss and other conditions that can be safely treated online. We’re evolving our service to make care even more personal, supportive and effective. We’re doing more than providing healthcare. We’re empowering people to take control of their health, and with the support of Hims & Hers, we’re scaling our vision to become a global leader in digital healthcare. About the role This role primarily focuses on supporting patients accessing weight management treatment, including assessing suitability for GLP-1 medications, reviewing ongoing treatment and prescribing safely in line with national guidance and ZAVA's clinical protocols. Alongside weight management, you'll also provide care across a range of other conditions that can be safely managed online through our asynchronous platform. This is an opportunity to practise medicine differently. Rather than conducting scheduled telephone or video consultations, you'll review structured online consultations, communicate with patients through secure messaging and make autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions. Synchronous consultations are only required where clinically appropriate. Beyond patient care, you'll work collaboratively with colleagues across Clinical, Product, Engineering, Operations, Patient Care and Commercial teams to improve clinical pathways, develop new services and enhance the patient experience. Key accountabilities Deliver safe, evidence-based patient care Review and assess asynchronous patient consultations, primarily relating to weight management, alongside other digital healthcare services. Assess patient suitability for GLP-1 therapies and other treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and prescribing protocols. Request additional clinical information where required to support safe prescribing decisions. Prescribe medication safely and appropriately in line with IMC guidance, Irish/national legislation, and ZAVA clinical protocols. Monitor ongoing treatment through follow-up consultations and support patients throughout their treatment journey. Maintain clinical excellence Apply evidence-based medicine and sound clinical judgement consistently. Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities. Contribute to the review and development of clinical guidelines and prescribing pathways. Support the delivery of safe, high-quality digital healthcare. Help shape the future of digital healthcare Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Patient Care and Operational teams to improve the patient experience. Provide clinical input into the development of new treatments, services and digital products. Identify opportunities to improve clinical pathways and service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. Learn and collaborate Participate in regular clinical meetings, teaching sessions and peer learning. Engage in continuing professional development and digital healthcare training. Share knowledge, expertise and best practice across the wider clinical team. What we're looking for Essential Current Irish Medical Council (IMC) registration with a licence to practise. Based in the Republic of Ireland or the UK with the right to work in the relevant country. Excellent understanding of evidence-based medicine and safe prescribing. Excellent written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients. Comfortable making autonomous clinical decisions within a remote, digital environment. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage workload efficiently. Confident using digital platforms and electronic clinical systems. A genuine interest in innovation and improving healthcare through technology. Desirable MRCGP, ICGP membership, or membership of a recognised College of General Practitioners. Up-to-date training on safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children. Experience supporting patients with obesity or weight management. Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies and obesity management guidance. Experience working in digital healthcare or telemedicine. Experience managing asynchronous consultations. Experience working within protocol-driven prescribing pathways. Experience contributing to clinical governance or guideline development. Proficiency with Google Workspace and MacOS. Fluency in German, French or Spanish. Life at ZAVA At ZAVA, you'll enjoy the flexibility of remote working while remaining part of a collaborative, supportive clinical team. We invest in your development through regular teaching sessions, protected learning opportunities, and ongoing clinical collaboration. You'll have the autonomy to practise medicine differently, with the technology, tools, and support needed to deliver exceptional patient care from wherever you work best.
