Clinical Nursing Instructor I

Job Summary and Department Description The Clinical Management Department is responsible for ongoing clinical support of our international healthcare professionals (HCPs) and clients while on assignment. The department also serves as a clinician liaison for facility leaders to identify clinical performance opportunities for the HCPs. In addition, the department is responsible for the clinical orientation and onboarding of new clients and new departments for existing clients. The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for directing, organizing and supervising the work of an offsite nursing staff, which includes registered nurses (RNs) on long term contract assignments at our client companies located throughout the United States. The Clinical Operations Manager will also provide clinical support to client healthcare facilities as needed. Essential Functions of the Job Manage and evaluate the performance of clinical staff and manage performance development plans through effective and ongoing communication, as necessary Mentor and coach clinical staff; listens to concerns and provides counsel Motivate staff to strive for professional excellence Provide clinical education in accordance with our established curriculum, as necessary Communicate effectively with clients to ensure that clinicians are progressing through the orientation and transition period, and meeting all client expectations Comply with company policies and procedures Obtain essential clinical documentation and reporting in accordance with Joint Commission standards Manage client relationships, ensure that realistic expectations are set in working with international clinicians, and fosters class-leading outcomes, ensuring Avant maintains a superior reputation with each client Marginal Functions of the Job Occasional travel to client sites as directed by the Avant executive team. (10%) Other duties as assigned Normal Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job. Education, Training, and Experience BSN preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required Minimum 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse Minimum 2 years of leading people in an acute healthcare setting Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, applicable rules and regulations and industry standards. Must have excellent organizational skills and be an effective time manager and multi-tasker. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Specific Requirements of Law Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification and ability to obtain and maintain Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida Other Characteristics of the Position Physical Demands: Stationary desk work for extended periods at a time Regularly required to communicate Infrequent lifting of office supplies up to 20 lbs. Vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely operates standard office equipment.
