We're Scan.com . We're building America's national imaging network: the infrastructure that connects patients, providers, and payers to faster, better-value diagnostic imaging. Thousands of patients move through our platform every day, and each is a real person waiting for an answer to a healthcare concern. We exist to get them that answer faster. We manage the medical imaging pathway end-to-end. Providers order through a single point of entry, and from there, we run the entire medical diagnostic pathway. Managing the full pathway, rather than brokering pieces of it, is what lets us deliver imaging faster, at higher quality, and at a lower cost than the fragmented status quo. As a Clinical Operations Specialist , you'll be crucial to upholding the quality of information in our systems. WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN At Scan.com , we're on a mission to simplify and accelerate access to diagnostic imaging for patients and clinicians. As a Clinical Operations Specialist , you'll be crucial to upholding the quality of information in our systems. Your primary responsibility will be to cross-reference key patient and customer data to ensure our systems are correct. You will also be expected to respond to clients on an ongoing basis. You’ll report directly to one of our key team members, who has significant experience building out our reports and client service functions. We're seeking a resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented, and hard-working individual who shares our passion for revolutionizing the diagnostic imaging industry. Some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are: Ensuring diagnostic imaging and reports match the scheduled appointments in our database and records Focusing on the quality of our information and ensuring 100% accuracy in the information we send out Working with other departments within the company, managing requests, and giving clear, concise written updates Updating our clients on the status of their patient records (primarily via email, but could be phone occasionally) Communicating via email with our Radiology groups to complete tasks such as elevating priority on a report to a STAT or answering questions they may have related to appointment details. Basic troubleshooting and triaging of technical issues to route to the appropriate team for resolution. Responding ad hoc to key client inquiries. Working with sensitive data and understanding the requirements of HIPAA THE TOP 3 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE Be the ‘safe pair of hands’ within our team, such that all your work is accurate and the quality of our data is high Be a trusted #2 to your manager so that you are capable of completing every task asked of you Attend professional development opportunities for personal and business growth WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE: You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it's your first role or your fifth role, we believe everyone can add value and that everyone should want to learn. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value: Strong knowledge of medical imaging procedures and workflow. Team player is front and center as each of us plays our part in the study management cycle. Attention to detail and a maniacal focus on ensuring information is correct. A commitment to hard work and bringing a positive outlook to work every day. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients Knowledge of radiology workflows and basic technical concepts Resilience and a willingness to continuously improve by taking critical feedback from your manager and teammates. Ability to comfortably navigate within MS Excel (ability to create Pivot Tables and/or conduct VLOOKUPs is a huge plus) AI REQUIREMENTS At Scan.com , AI isn't a side project; it's how we work. We expect everyone to use AI to think faster, remove drudgery, and multiply their output. What we care about is judgment: knowing when AI makes you sharper, when it doesn't, and how to use it responsibly around patient data. We'll assess this in the way that matters for this role, using the tier below. You don't need to be an engineer. You need to be someone who reaches for the best tool and gets more done because of it. Tier 3 — For this role, the expectation is that you are AI-Aware. You lead with subject matter expertise, but you're comfortable using AI for things like admin, documentation, or research so you can spend more time with patients—and you know where AI stops and human judgment has to take over. (clinical, hands-on, and highly regulated roles where hands-on expertise is the core value) Your craft comes first; AI supports it. You're curious, not resistant, and open to tools that cut admin so you spend more time on patients. You can hold a sensible conversation about where AI helps your function and where human judgment is non-negotiable. Assessment: a short conversation on how you see AI fitting your work. No technical test. One assessment principle across all tiers: we're testing judgment and adaptability, not whether you've memorized today's tools. Tools change quarterly; the ability to learn and apply them is what compounds. A VIEW ON OUR CULTURE We're building something that matters. Every scan we speed up is a real person waiting on an answer, and that urgency runs through everything we do. We move fast, we own outcomes, and take pride in our output. If you like ambiguity, working with ambitious people, and want your work to visibly move the needle, you'll feel at home here. For you to be successful at Scan.com you must embody our values. OUR VALUES Always Play Offense If we're not growing, we're dying. Everyone needs a bias for action. Speed and momentum, combined with quality execution, propel our business forward. You don't quit on hard problems. Fail fast, dust off, go again. You celebrate wins, then seek the next opportunity. You see it, you fix it. No task is beneath you, at any level. Build with the Best The company we build is the team we build. If we don't have the right people in the right seats, doing the right things, we will fail. Talent recognizes talent. You actively bring quality hires into the business. You trust your colleagues to deliver. You open-source your knowledge. You're never a single point of failure. Care Deeply, Challenge Directly Care enough to have the hard conversations, and don't dwell on them. Don't go up the chain to communicate. Go straight to the person. Strong opinions, weakly held. You welcome challenge and feedback. You get to the point: direct challenge plus an alternative solution. You ask "why". Before calling something bad, understand why it exists. Embrace Growth, Be Curious Push the limits of your understanding and potential, and you will be supported to get better. You proactively seek feedback, whatever your level. You invest in understanding our business: teams, customers, processes. You invest in your own growth and are willing to unlearn. We're a high-performing team with low ego. We hire people who are brilliant and kind, who give it straight, back it up with evidence, and change their mind when the facts change. We'll give you real ownership early, the tools to do your best work, and colleagues who raise your game. In return, we ask for high standards, genuine care for patients and each other, and the drive to leave things better than you found them. If that sounds like you, let’s talk! HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU: We strive to keep our interview process brief and aim to move through the stages efficiently. Due to availability, there may be a change to the order of the interview process, but generally speaking, this is what you can expect: Introductory call/interview with our Senior Talent Partner. The call is typically made via telephone and lasts approximately 30 minutes. If there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a 45-minute video call with the hiring manager. This is a more structured interview that will deep-dive into the role and technical needs. All of our roles will have a small assessment stage. This may be an in-person assessment, a take-home assessment, or additional video calls. The length varies, but we’re mindful of your time and strive to keep it as simple as possible. Offer!
