The Role

As a GFIT Wellness Clinical Psychologist, you will provide professional psychological services to clients through a holistic wellness approach. You will support clients in understanding and addressing mental, emotional, and behavioural concerns while encouraging positive behavioural changes that promote better overall health and wellness.

This is a fully remote position with a flexible schedule, allowing you to provide virtual services based on your availability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional virtual psychological services to GFIT Wellness clients.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, as appropriate to your scope of practice.
  • Support clients experiencing mental health, emotional, behavioural, and life challenges.
  • Help clients develop healthy coping strategies and sustainable behavioural changes.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions within your area of expertise.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and professional client records.
  • Collaborate with the GFIT Wellness team to support a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain all applicable professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
  • Practise within your professional scope and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Registered and in good standing with the appropriate regulatory college.
  • Licensed/registered and legally authorized to practise in Alberta.
  • Experience providing psychological assessment and/or treatment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable providing psychological services virtually.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Passion for helping clients improve their mental, emotional, and overall wellness.
