The Role
The Creative Operations & Governance Manager will help build and scale an international Creative Services operating model, establishing the workflows, governance, tools and decision-making frameworks needed for efficient, consistent creative execution. Working closely with the Director of Creative Strategy, this role will connect central creative leadership with regional teams and external partners while balancing local market needs with global brand consistency. This position is based in North York, Ontario, with four days per week in office.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative governance frameworks, workflows, standards and approval pathways.
- Own creative intake, briefing, planning, prioritization, tracking and delivery processes.
- Establish roles, responsibilities and decision rights across teams and markets.
- Oversee localization workflows and guidance for regional teams and external partners.
- Manage creative assets and support Digital Asset Management (DAM) governance.
- Identify process gaps, bottlenecks and opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Oversee timelines, capacity, dependencies, risks and project reporting.
- Manage, coach and develop a Project Coordinator.
- Partner with Brand Marketing, Trade, Product Development, Regulatory and Operations teams.
- Lead process improvements and adoption of new tools and ways of working.
Requirements
- 5+ years in creative operations, project management, marketing operations, agency management or related experience.
- Degree/diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing creative workflows, governance frameworks or operating models.
- Strong project management, prioritization and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience managing and developing team members.
- Familiarity with project management, workflow, DAM and collaboration platforms.
- Experience working across multiple markets, brands or complex stakeholder groups.
- Global Creative Services, CPG, wellness, pharmaceutical or retail experience is an asset.
- Spanish fluency is a necessity.
