Join CTSA as a part-time Licensed Clinical Psychologist and maintain the flexibility and autonomy of private practice with consistent referrals, administrative infrastructure, professional community, and opportunities to grow your role over time.
Clinical Psychologist / Licensed Psychologist – Part-Time
The Center for Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety (CTSA) is seeking a Maryland Licensed Psychologist to join our outpatient mental health practice on a part-time basis.
This position is designed for psychologists who want meaningful clinical work and control over their schedule without having to manage the business of private practice. Build a caseload that fits your professional life while CTSA provides the referrals, billing, credentialing, administrative support, office infrastructure, and clinical community behind your work.
For psychologists interested in more than direct clinical care, opportunities may also be available in clinical supervision, consultation, training, mentorship, and program development based on your interests, qualifications, and CTSA's needs.
Compensation & Schedule:
- $62–$75 per completed clinical session, based on experience and CTSA compensation tier
- W-2 employment
- Part-time caseload beginning at approximately 15 completed clinical sessions per week
- Opportunity to build a caseload of approximately 15–24 sessions per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Hybrid in-person and telehealth practice
- Additional paid compensation for qualifying clinical supervision responsibilities
- Opportunities for additional compensated responsibilities in training, consultation, or program development based on qualifications, interest, and organizational need
- Opportunity to transition into a full-time role and benefits eligibility if desired
Depending on caseload, part-time psychologists working approximately 15–24 clinical sessions per week may earn approximately $44,600–$86,400 annually from clinical work, with additional earning potential through qualifying supervision or other defined responsibilities.
Practice Without Running a Practice:
You don't need to build an entire private practice to have autonomy over your clinical work.
CTSA provides:
- Consistent referrals and caseload-building support
- Intake and administrative support
- Insurance credentialing
- Billing and collections
- Marketing and practice development
- EHR and technology infrastructure
- Furnished professional office space
- Clinical consultation and professional community
- Required in-house clinical training at no cost, including continuing education opportunities
- Advanced training and specialty-development opportunities
You maintain meaningful autonomy over your schedule, clinical interests, and caseload while practicing within the infrastructure of an established group practice.
Already have a private practice or established caseload? We welcome conversations with psychologists interested in appropriately transitioning some of their clinical work to CTSA while respecting client choice, existing professional obligations, and applicable ethical requirements.
Clinical Practice at CTSA
CTSA is an outpatient mental health practice specializing in trauma, stress, anxiety, and related concerns. We value thoughtful case conceptualization, strong therapeutic relationships, evidence-informed practice, and clinicians who are interested in understanding the patterns and adaptations underlying a client's presenting symptoms.
We are particularly interested in psychologists with experience or advanced training in areas such as:
- Trauma and PTSD
- Anxiety disorders
- OCD and exposure-based treatment
- EMDR
- Somatic and body-based approaches
- Attachment and relational work
- Couples and family therapy
- Neurodivergence
- Integrative mental health
- Other advanced areas of clinical specialization
You don't need to specialize in all of these areas. We are interested in the expertise you bring to the clinical community and what you want to continue developing.
Who We're Looking For
Candidates must:
- Hold an active, unrestricted Maryland Psychologist license
- Have experience providing outpatient psychotherapy
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ethical practice
- Maintain timely, high-quality clinical documentation
- Work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Maintain at least 15 completed clinical sessions per week
- Be willing to provide in-person and telehealth services based on client and practice needs
- Value continued learning, accountability, collaboration, and high-quality clinical care
Maryland Board approval to provide clinical supervision is valued but not required for non-supervisory positions.
More Than a Side Gig
Part-time shouldn't have to mean disconnected from the practice or limited in your ability to grow.
At CTSA, psychologists can maintain a focused clinical caseload while still being part of a professional community. If your interests evolve, there may also be opportunities to incorporate supervision, consultation, training, mentorship, program development, or eventually a full-time role.
If you're looking for the flexibility and autonomy of private practice without having to manage the entire business behind it, we'd like to meet you.
