Clinical Safety Lead

The Opportunity

We are launching TherapyPod with five partner clinics across India and need a doctor to lead clinical safety. You will decide how the AI triages patients, review how clinics handle escalated cases, and measure how well the system detects emergencies in Hindi and English.

What You'll Do

• Set the triage rules, severity levels, and response-time targets for each pilot clinic and specialty: addiction recovery, maternal health, cancer care, and migraine.
• Run weekly case reviews with partner clinic doctors and nurses so decisions on escalated cases stay consistent and clinically sound.
• Make sure clinic staff report any conversation the AI should have flagged, and turn each report into a fix.
• Design and run the study that measures how accurately the system detects emergencies in each language and specialty, using real pilot conversations.
• Study how patients describe symptoms in Hindi, English, and mixed language, and use that to improve detection.
• Review care pathways such as addiction treatment follow-up and pregnancy monitoring before they go live.
• Lead the response when a patient safety issue occurs: investigate the cause and fix it with the engineering team.
• Set the consent and ethics protocols for the study with the founders and legal counsel, in line with India's data protection law.
  
  

Who You Are

• MBBS from a recognized institution (MD preferred) and at least 4 years of clinical practice in India.
• Fluent in Hindi and English, including the mixed language patients actually use.
• Experience with clinical audits, quality improvement, or research. Comfortable with study design and accuracy measures.
• Able to read AI-generated patient conversations with a critical eye and work closely with a software team.
• Background in addiction medicine, obstetrics, oncology, or neurology is a plus.
• Clear-headed about what AI can do in patient care and where it must hand over to a human.
• Willing to travel regularly to partner clinics.
